TACTICAL HOME SAFETY

PERSONALIZED IN-HOME TRAINING FOR HOME DEFENSE

HOW TO RESPOND TO HOME INVASION

Develop fast and effective reactions to protect your family.

Having a simple, clear and well-rehearsed plan to react to the most dangerous and the most likely situations that may occur is essential. What actions can your family and kids take if a home invasion occurs? Everyone must know their role and what they need to do. Just as importantly, they need to know WHY they are doing it. Even the best plans can fail or need rapid modification on first contact. Having a good understanding of principles and being able to adjust the plan as the situation evolves is critical to success and avoiding potentially life changing injuries or death.

We can help you to develop a plan that suits your family and your specific needs. We will run scenario training to test that plan and to practice your tactical skills. There are several possible reasons where you may have to leave the safety of your "safe room". One of those reasons may be if it becomes unsafe due to fire. How would you react to an arson attack? There were over 27000 arson attacks in the USA in 2021. Any fire can be a significant threat to your house and family. Generally, the rule is if a fire occurs, get out and stay out until firefighters arrive. Understanding fire behavior and unseen threats like hydrogen cyanide or carbon monoxide can help you and your family stay safe. Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas that is the leading cause of poisoning deaths in North America, with thousands of deaths per year. From the increasing risks of lithium battery fires to kitchen fires, gas explosions and arson, good fire prevention strategies are the best tactic to reduce the threat.

If you are unable to leave your house due to an external threat, proper preparation and quick reaction can save your house and limit fire damage to the room of origin. What actions can you take immediately after the fire to limit your exposure to unseen hazards? Early warning and early suppression are key to saving your house. We can show you how to select detectors and early warning devices and where to locate them. We can teach you how to select and use the correct extinguishing mediums for the fire risks you may face and where to locate them.
